- The site was steered through pre-application enquiry to full planning permission, granted in April 2021 for 2020 Living for the demolition of existing buildings and development of a 35-storey tower building with 6 storey shoulder building and 1 storey podium containing 440 residential apartments and an 8-storey hotel building.
- Cerda worked closely with officers at Birmingham City Council to overcome a range of complex issues pertaining to the brownfield city centre location, including but not limited to: mass and scale, appearance, amenity, highways and viability.
- Following the granting of permission, Cerda were instructed by and worked with Cortland UK (the operator) to assist in delivery of the project including non-material amendments and discharge of conditions and s106 obligations.
